Paper Ladybug Craft

Perfect for toddlers and younger kids—simple, colorful, and cute!

Supplies Needed

  • Red construction paper
  • Black construction paper
  • White paper or googly eyes
  • Glue stick
  • Safety scissors
  • Black marker

Instructions

Make the Body:

  • Cut a circle out of red construction paper—about the size of a small bowl. This will be your ladybug’s body.

Add the Head:

  • Cut a small semicircle out of black paper and glue it to one end of the red circle to create the head.

Cut and Add Wings:

  • Cut the red circle in half straight down the middle to make two wings. Use a glue stick to lightly attach each wing to the body, overlapping slightly in the middle so they can still “open” a little.

Add Spots:

  • Cut small black circles from the black paper or use a marker to draw dots on each wing.

Add Eyes:

  • Glue on two googly eyes, or cut two small white paper circles and draw black dots in the center with a marker.

Draw Antennae:

  • Use the marker to draw two curly antennae on the head—or cut thin strips of black paper, curl the ends, and glue them on for a 3D effect.
